The Six CEFR Levels

Beginner

You can understand and use basic everyday expressions and introduce yourself.

Elementary

You can communicate in simple, routine tasks on familiar topics.

Intermediate

You can deal with most situations while travelling and describe experiences.

Upper Intermediate

You can interact with fluency on a wide range of topics with native speakers.

Advanced

You can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.

Proficient

You can understand with ease practically everything and express yourself precisely.
